Evelyn "Evey" Lowa Gabrielle Gray, of Humble, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016, at the age of 19.
Evey was born September 10, 1996, in Beaumont, Texas. She had been living in Humble since July 2001. She was a senior at the Cambridge School in Humble ISD.
Evey did her best in anything she started, always finished with a smile, and held her head high with the knowledge of a job well done. She was like a box of chocolates, you never knew what you were going to get. Evey will be loved by all for years to come as her love carries on and her laughter keeps all of our hearts full.
Evey is survived by her mother and step-father, Angel and Michael Island; father, Tom Gray of Boyd, TX; her older sister and brother-in-law, Natalie and U.S. Army Sgt. LaNiel Williams; younger siblings, Ethan and Madison Gray; her older brother, Anthony Bishop of Nanticoke, PA; her fiancé Jose Guerrero; two nephews, La'Nickolas and Kia Williams; as well as many cousins, aunts, and uncles. She is preceded in death by her great-grandmother Lowa Mea Miles "Nana" and grandmother Lora Mea Kitchens "Meme".
Funeral services are scheduled on Saturday, February 6, from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. (viewing) and 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. (memorial service) at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel located at 14350 N. Sam Houston Pkwy E. Houston, TX 77044.
Evey's favorite scripture was Joshua 10:25, "And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the Lord do to all your enemies against whom ye fight."

" I miss you so much Evelyn. I wish you hadn't left. We needed you. I hope you are in a better place, but I wish you still were here. I would do everything , anything, just to save you. You have left so many people behind. I loved you. You were my classmate and a dear friend.

What a tragedy. May Evelyn rest in peace. I knew Evelyn from when she was a student at Northbelt and I worked in the library.
