Valliant, OK - Franklin David "F.D" Campbell, 79, passed away on December 1, 2015 in Paris, Texas. Franklin was born June 19, 1936 in Harris, Oklahoma the son of Thomas E. Campbell and Katie Viola (Porton) Campbell and they preceded him in death.
F.D. grew up in McCurtain County and married Wanda Palmer on March 15, 1959 in Glover, OK. He was the owner/operator of the Valliant Texaco from 1970 to 1976. He retired from pipeline construction in Texas after working for 23 years. From 2000 to 2009 he owned/operated the Beavers Bend Ice Cream Stop; also from 2000 to present he was known as the "Snow Cone Man". F. D. was a deacon of the First Baptist Church of Valliant and was a member of the Gideons. He is survived by his wife Wanda Campbell, three sons: Don Campbell & wife Cindy, of Dayton, TX, Hank Campbell & Susan, of Tulsa, OK and Ray Campbell & wife Nancy, of Seguin, TX; sisters: Lorene Estes of Avery, TX, Dorothy Heckadon of Idabel, OK, and Billie Estes of Batesville, AR; nine grandchildren, three step grandchildren, six great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 P. M. on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to the FBC Audio System.
Services with take place at Valliant School Auditorium, in Valliant, Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Officiating, Bro. Mike Mings. Interment will follow at Valliant Cemetery, Valliant, OK.
