Fredric Reisbick Obituary

Fredric Byron Reisbick was born September 19th, 1937 to Emmanuel George and Anna Marie Reisbick. Died Friday, September 30th from complications of Parkinsons disease.

Fred was an Eagle Scout and involved in Demolay. Attended Colorado University and graduated from the University of Utah in Botany and Geology. Was a member of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity.

Married Mary Lou Rosno on April 12, 1958 and served three years in the U.S. Army.

He retired as Vice President, exploration of Battle Mountain Gold Company in 1997, then split his time between Kingwood, Texas and his cabin in Pine Mountain Utah.

Fred traveled to over 52 Countries between work and travels with his wife. Fred also enjoyed fly fishing, reading cookbooks, studying WWII history and spending time at his cabin with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; daughters Kelli (Steve) Guericke and Kristin (Dave) Petron; grandchildren LeAndra and Alex Guericke and Kylie and Bryn Petron; brother Noel (Jean) Reisbick; sister Beth (Paul) LaPrad; sister-in-law Caroline Rosno; and many dear friends in Colorado, Utah, Arizona and Texas.

A memorial service on Friday, October 7th at 5:30 at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, where complimentary valet parking will be provided on the north side of the building. Friends are invited to stay and share memories at a celebration of life immediately following the service until 8:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in a private family burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Canyon Home Hospice and especially Fred's nurse Michelle. She helped make this journey one of compassion and dignity.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Parkinson's research or Good Shepard Church, 2929 Woodland Hills Dr. Kingwood, TX 77339.

Condolences to Mary Lou, Kelli and Kristen from Dick and Mary Ann Larsen. Fred's hard work and kind ways were an inspiration to me as our family grew and I proceeded along a 40 year career in exploration. I hope you find comfort in knowing that Fred truly lived a life to be respected and appreciated by all he came in contact with.

Fred was a special person to us, both personally and professionally. He had a steadfast moral compass and a kindness that was truly genuine and hard to find these days. We will always have fond memories of that good man. Our sincere condolences to Mary Lou and family.
