Gloria Pacheco Williams

1922 - 2021

Gloria Williams lived a long and fruitful life until her transition to her heavenly home on January 4th, 2021 at the blessed age of 98. She is preceded in death by her father, Juan Pacheco, mother, Gabina Mendes Pacheco, husband, Marvin Williams Sr., son, Marvin Williams Jr., and sisters, Estell Pacheco and Natalia Pacheco.

She was born on February 17, 1922 to Juan Pacheco and Gabina Mendes Pacheco. They named her Gloria. She completed her schooling in Mexico City, Mexico before marrying Marvin Williams Sr., Professional Baseball player in the Negro League. Gloria traveled with her husband to the Latina countries as he toured with Mexico City's professional baseball team before starting a family. Gloria gave birth to two children Marvin Williams Jr. and Billy Williams before moving to Conroe, Texas. She retired from Superior Oil in Conroe Texas where she worked as the cafeteria supervisor. Gloria was cherished and loved in her neighborhood in Conroe and had many family friends. Her most cherished friends, Vernice Kindle, Gracie Gallegos of Houston and lifelong friends, Charlotte Fields, and the late Cora Whigby. She was a faithful member of Rising Star Baptist Church and Union Center AME in Conroe Texas.

Gloria Williams leaves to cherish her memory her brother: Mano Pacheco, Sister: Amada Pacheco, her son, Billy Williams (Christine), daughter-in-law, Ivy Williams, granddaughter, Rhea Williams, grandson, Michael Williams, great granddaughters, Danielle Williams, Arielle McDonald, Renee Harris, great grandsons: Nikko Bourque, Chas Bourque, great-great granddaughter Ivy Dixon, great-great grandson Aareion Williams, Special Nieces: LuLu and Irma Pacheco, and many other nieces and nephews in Mexico City.
