James Clifton Autrey, Jr., age 84 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018. He was born June 6, 1933 in Morrilton, Arkansas to parents James Clifton Autrey and Leah Autrey who preceded him in death along with his wife, Marjorie Autrey; daughters, Beverely Anne Autrey and Geniva "Gaye" Bailey; two sisters and their husbands, Alice and Wesley Williams, Patricia and FA Gordon; and three brothers, EJ Autrey, Billy Autrey and Lloyd Autrey.
Survivors include his son, James Autrey and wife Crystal Autrey of Splendora, Texas; grandchildren, Alexis Banda and husband Miguel Banda, Brandy Autrey-Turner and husband Carvis Turner, Joseph Autrey, Cherish Autrey, C.J Turner, Jeremiah Turner and William Autrey; three sisters, Sammye Gordon and husband Stanley of Vilonia, Nancy Logan of Cabot and Janis Thompson of Bentonville; two brothers, Phillip Autrey of Cabot and Thomas Autrey and wife Sandi of Scott; plus a host of nieces, nephews and a beloved cousin, Lora Shewmaker.
A memorial service for Mr. Autrey will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. In lieu of flowers please make donations to your local Lions Club.
