James Franklin Bible, age 86 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015. He was born April 10, 1929 in Friendswood, Texas to parents Johnnie Benjamin Bible and Effie Mae Cothron who preceded him in death along with his son, James Richard Bible; and daughter, Cathy A. Maples.
Mr. Bible was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, loved to tell stories, lived and loved life to the fullest.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Sarah Eunice Bible; daughters, Linda C. Maples and Sarah E. Lane; sons, Danny Paul Bible, John M. Bible and Joseph F. Bible; thirty-four grandchildren, fifty great-grandchildren, many great great-grandchildren and many more to come.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday, October 26, 2015 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Services will follow starting at 6:00 p.m., Monday, October 26, 2015 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas.

I miss his so much. I know he is in a better place and now perfect in every way. His compassion, his love of family friends and country was beyond measure. It is hard to let go of this great man who ment so much to so many. Be at peace and rest. Until we meet at Jesus feet. I love you.
