This is no ordinary obit. For my brother was no ordinary brother.
Jeffrey Emil Timpanaro passed away on September 1, 2016, and at 46 he was too young to die.
Much to the chagrin of the entire universe, Jeffy had two dreadful autoimmune diseases that essentially governed his life (and ours) for the last 15 years. His suffering was more than he - or any of us - should have had to bear. He called himself "a walking telenovela in a hurricane." He maintained his sense of humor, and put up one heck of a fight, throughout the entire ordeal.
And that would make sense, because INTENSE is a word that could be used to describe Jeff. Actually, passionate is a much better word, because we Timpanaros are insanely passionate about everything we do. This applies to grammar (!) and sports, work and play, and most definitely love.
One of Jeff's best friends said that he was annoyingly good at everything he did, and it's true. His kick serve in tennis was RIDICULOUSLY infuriating and his musical talents were immense. His dedication to the Spanish language was complete, and he was a brilliant and gifted writer. If you ever played Words with Friends with him, I am sure you were soundly schooled. He was also a teacher in the traditional sense, and he left an indelible impression on many of his students.
But the very best of all of his talents was to love with all he had. In doing so, he left a lasting legacy that we will carry in our hearts forever.
Jeff is survived by his beautiful wife Colleen, his precious children Josh, Guthrie, Pippi, Lachlan and Vigo, his parents Ron and Pat, and his sister Tracey. Both a funeral and a memorial mass have been held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a fund established for his children: PayPal.me/Timpanaros.
Goodbye hermanito precioso. I'll miss you and your guacamole, even though you never used enough salt.

Jeff, you were the funniest most creative and true friend to me. The memories I have of you writing me letters from college not in the shape of a ordinary letter but in the shape of a fish or an iron. You made me laugh like no other. I will remember you with a smile in my heart. Good bye, my dear friend.

Dear Jeff, Family, and Friends,
The loss of you is great and as a person who grew up in tennis drills, long and crazy tennis travels, and watching you jest in a witty way with everyone was a very welcome site. You made everything fun and full of light. Your family has a legacy of love and your children have a legacy of a very positive and good hearted father. The tennis team of KHS will miss you greatly. We will all see you again soon. God Bless you brother. Rest In a Peace.
Respectfully,
Jennifer Darnell
