Jerry Jones Obituary

Jerry Lynn Jones, 77, of Evadale, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 2, 2021. He was born on February 19, 1944, in Evadale, to Helen Day Jones and Jesse Leroy Jones. Jerry was a United States Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Keisha Christian and her husband, Kyle, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Kourtlyn Christian, Karigan Christian, Karson Christian, and Kylan Christian. He leaves one brother, David Jones and his wife, Cheryl, of Evadale: and one sister, Linda McMillan and her husband, CJ, of Kirbyville. Jerry is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Billy Berryman and his wife, Sarah and Franky Berryman and his wife, Eileen; sisters-in-law, Gayle Jones, Joyce Jones, and Pat Jones; along with many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Jesse Jones; his wife, Wanda Jones; daughter, Holly Jones; and brothers, Bobby Jones, Jimmy Jones, and Roby Jones.

Jerry loved gardening and sharing his vegetables with his family and friends. He was a kind, gentle man who was known for his "green thumb". One of his greatest joys in life was being with his grandchildren, loving and caring for them, nurturing and watching them grow.
