Jerry Wayne Riggs age 74, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday August 14, 2018. He was born in Bakersfield, California on January 19, 1944 to O'Nell Carroll Riggs and Thomas Earl Riggs. He enjoyed traveling, cooking and making money, but most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a humorous side to him, telling corny jokes and chuckling. He was a mentor to any one who needed his support, could have been considered strong willed at times and will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Jerry is survived by his children, Cherry Riggs, Edward Clancy (and wife, Tammi), Lori Mueller (and husband, Michael), Jennifer Ayers (and husband, Chad), Chris Riggs and Sarah Riggs (and husband, Bob Starkey); his grandchildren, Juliana Jimenez, Miranda, Jack and Jeremy Clancy, Olivia Mueller, Heather Becvar, Jessi Jones, Darby Davis and Dustin, Daniel, Michael and Jill Starkey. Also survived by other relatives and many friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, on Friday evening August 17, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Services will be held on Saturday morning August 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Sterling White Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, Texas 77562.
