Oh, wow. I had no idea. He was a good man. I had the pleasure of working with him for a while. However, even in those short moments, or our interaction, one can tell that he was a person of integrity. I wish I had called more often. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

We were so sorry to learn of Kirk's passing. He was such a wonderful and caring person with such a lovely family. We were honored to attend his Service and Celebration of Live. This was a true representation of how he was highly respected and one of whom many thought so highly. May the Lord soon welcome Kirk to his home in heaven and give consolation and peace to his family and friends who feel the pain of his loss. Our deepest and most sincere condolences go out to Darlene and Paul, the Munden family and the Houston Police Department community in this time of sorrow.

So sorry to hear of Kirk's passing. I only knew him for 5 short years while I was with the city of Houston. I thought the world of him as he was a voice of calm and reason in a sea of noise that surrounds city government. He was a real gentleman.
God bless him and his family.

To the Family of Kirk Munden:
I pray for God's strength during this very difficult time and unexpected death of a man that brought vision and guidance to HPD and the citizens of Houston. I considered it a privilege to have met him and served with him here at HPD.
I trust and believe that you will be given the guidance and support you will need over the next several days and months.

Respectfully,

God blessed us when Kirk and Cathy moved to our neighborhood and became some of our dearest friends. He was such a fun and precious person and would do anything for anyone. We shared many laughs.. talks and fun times with our precious friends. We all will miss that precious smile seeing him riding his golf cart down to our barn every Friday for our neighborhood happy hour and all meeting in the lake in front of one of hour houses to float and have fun together. Rodney and I love you dearly our precious friend and not a day will go by that we do not miss you! We love you with all our hearts ❤

Cathy, Sammie and Max-your loss has left a tremendous hole in the hearts of many. Kirk was a gentleman, a precious loyal friend and an outstanding human being. His clever sense of humor and Cheshire cat grin could light up a room. I feel blessed to have called him my friend. May God keep each of you close during this devistating time.
