I moved to Houston in January 1945 Larry lived a doors down from me and for many years we were best friends we had paper routes and Larry got me my first jobs at Houston post newspaper and Martin Linen.

Larry was a one of a kind man. Always so gentle and respectful of his precious mother. She was one of my friends and lived with my family for a time. We were friends for so many years and have thought of him so often all the years since moving away. Our heart goes out to all of the family. He loved each of you so much and was always wanting the best for his family. Praying for you all at this sad time. Blessings and love, Audrey Torrey (John's Mom)
