Laverne Denby Obituary
Laverne Denby, age 83 of Romayor, passed away at her residence on October 28, 2015 with her loving family by her side. Laverne was born September 28, 1932 in Jasper, TX daughter of the late Vernon Carrico and Bobbi Alma Davis Carrico. She graduated from Hull-Daisetta High School and was a housewife all of her life. Laverne was a great Christian and loved everybody. She enjoyed her music, especially gospel, country and western and bluegrass music. Laverne was also a great cook. She will be missed by all.
Laverne was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Joel Laburn Denby Sr, sons; James Glenn Denby, Vernon Murry Denby and sister; Bobbie Jo Basham. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons; Joel Laburn Denby Jr and wife Dianne of Romayor, TX, Douglas Wayne Denby and wife Kathy of Houston, TX, daughter; Carol Ann Denby of Romayor, TX, brother; Phillip Elvin Carrico and wife Laura of Daisetta, TX, sisters; Martrell Fregia of Liberty, TX, Virgil Hamilton of Beaumont, TX, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services for Laverne Denby will be Monday, November 2, 2015 at 10am at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 North Travis, Liberty, TX with burial to follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Daisetta. Visitation will be Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm in the chapel at Allison's. Condolences can be sent online to www.allisonfuneralservice.com.
