Lee Smith Obituary
Lee Phillip Smith of Kingwood, Texas died October 29, 2015 at the William R Courtney VA Home in Temple, Texas.
Lee was born September 25, 1928 to Walter LeRoy Smith and Elsie Howland Smith in Long Island, New York. After high school graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy and served for 5 years. Lee then attended college at the University of Miami where he earned a BA degree in Communications. He started his career in Radio and soon moved into TV advertising sales where he held the General Sales Manager position in several TV stations around the country. Upon retirement in 1995, Lee created his own promotional advertising company that he controlled until early 2013.
Lee was an artistic person, usually with video camera in hand to record everything he could of the new places he had been, people he had met and things he had done. He enjoyed woodworking, learning about new technology and loved the ARTS.
Survivors include his wife, Dev Usery-Smith of Kingwood, his son, Randy Smith of New Jersey and four grandchildren, Hailey, Kayla, Natalie and Shane.
