Mary Joyce Locher, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away November 29, 2016, in her home in Kingwood, Texas. Born May 21, 1930, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Joyce was the eldest of six children. Joyce also had six children.
Educated in Salt Lake City, Joyce graduated from the University of Utah earning a degree in Speech Therapy. After graduation, Joyce joined the San Antonio School District in order to work with children. Joyce then moved back to Utah, and became a licensed real estate salesperson in Park City.
In the mid 1980's, Joyce moved from Park City to Kingwood to be closer to family. In Kingwood, Joyce continued her real estate career and joined RE/MAX Northeast. While at RE/Max, Joyce met, partnered with and then married Bill Locher. Joyce and Bill formed a very successful real estate team called "the Olde Pros." In 1999, Joyce and Bill started their own real estate company named "The Locher Group." Throughout her life, and especially in her real estate career, Joyce enjoyed a wonderful relationship with her clients, colleagues and all members of the Kingwood community.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Bill, five of her six children, Dianna Riley, Carolyn (Bren) Sidereas, Jay (Faye) Williamson, Tony (Debbie) Williamson and Wes (Shelly) Williamson. Joyce's eldest son, Rick, predeceased her earlier this year. During her life, she was blessed with fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She always enjoyed travelling to visit with them.
Joyce's Family received friends and celebrated Joyce's life at Strawbridge United Methodist Church, 5629 Kingwood Drive, Kingwood, Texas on Monday December 5, 2016, at 11:00 am. The Memorial Service was followed by a reception in the Church's Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to "Including Kids" a school providing love and tutoring to children with Autism. Joyce served on the School's initial Board of Directors. The School is located at 5364 FM 1960E, Humble, Texas 77338 and may be contacted through www.includingkids.org.

Loving the memories at Parker Lane and out and about Austin. At all hours of the day and night! Your mom had the patience of a saint and a true joy for living. I'm hugging you with my prayers Diana and Carolyn. And begging your mom's forgiveness for all those "please excuse" notes that I signed "Mrs R L Williamson". God blessed you and all those whose life she touched with his angel named Joyce.
