Ola Marie Graham Sheffield, 96, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. She was born May 26,1918 to William Lafitte Graham and Wilmer Lee Clark Graham. Ola is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband and high school sweetheart, James Robert "Jim Bob" Sheffield; son, James R. Sheffield; brothers, Carl and Forest Graham; sister, Myrt Graham Canon; and son-in-law, Jimmie Franklin. She is survived by her daughters, Bobbie Franklin, Patty Osina and husband, Charles; daughter -in-law, Charlotte Sheffield; sister-in-law, Dorothy Graham; brother-in-law, Billy Sheffield; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and one expected very soon; as well as a host of many other family and friends.
Ola graduated from Humble High School in 1937. She married "Jim Bob" Sheffield and were married for 54 glorious years. They lived in Humble, Texas before later moving to El Campo, Texas where they lived for many years and were both very active in the First Baptist Church. Ola loved to quilt and sew, but her favorite thing to do was talk about her family. She was extremely proud of all them and their many accomplishments. Ola kept a spiral notebook in which she would write down all the many things she could remember about her family. She will forever be remembered for her love of family, her strong faith and her extreme patriotism. Ola will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
A visitation and service for Ola was held on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation took place from 9:30 until 11:00 am and the service followed beginning at 11:00 am with Pastor Rick DuBroc of El Campo officiating. The interment took place at 1:00 pm at Rosewood Cemetery in Humble, Texas. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.claytonfuneralhomes.com.
