Patricia Ann Daw, 81, passed away August 2, 2017 in Kingwood, Texas. Patsy was born April 1, 1936 to parents Fred William and Effie Irene Kelly. Patsy is survived by nephews Michael Allen and his wife Carolina, Randall Allen, James Allen, Eddie Kelso andwife Marie; nieces Sue Thames and husband Mitch, Sharon Clayton and husband Bill, Sandra Reed, Shelley Hanson, Stephanie Deen, Wilene Wells and husband Terry, as well as many other relatives. Patsy also leaves behind lifelong friend Lois Gibbs and her husband O'Neal, Godson Sam Gibbs and his wife Cathy, Goddaughter Lisa Nurmi and her husband Doug. She's preceded in death by the love of her life Kenneth Wayne Daw, after 53 years of marriage. Together they enjoyed traveling, water sports, skiing in the mountains, spending time with family and friends at their beach house in Crystal Beach, attending football games, especially at Sam Houston State University. Patsy also enjoyed playing bridge even though she sometimes had to be reminded to count her points. Patsy received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, from Sam Houston State University, and taught first grade in Port Neches, Clear Lake, Edna, and Humble. She also attended graduate school at Sam Houston State University receiving a Master's Degree in education and soon afterward became an elementary school counselor, retiring from Humble ISD in 1996 with 39 years of experience. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to neighbors Rhonda Drachenberg and Rhonda Hughes for their caring support, to Lynette Calfee, to care-giver and personal assistant Christal Davis, and many loving friends. Interment of ashes will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Huntsville, TX. at 2:00PM.
