Paul passed from this life on March 6, 2017, after a motorcycle accident on February 17, 2017. He was born June 22, 1959 in Anahuac, Texas to parents Wayne and Doris Echols Brockner who preceded him in death along with his brother, Ken Brockner.
Paul was an avid deer hunter. He loved hunting in South Texas for whitetail deer. He has had the opportunity to hunt in Alaska and Africa. He has gone on bird hunts in Argentina and North Dakota.
Paul has owned his own logging co. for 33 years. Logging has been his lifelong pursuit and his love. He worked to stay on the cutting edge of technology in the logging industry. He has been a member of the Texas Logging Council and the TFA for many years.
He has also been a car enthusiast for most of his life. His recent passion was finding and collecting Native American Artifacts.
Everyone that knew Paul knows he had a heart as big as Texas. He loved to give way more than being on the receiving end of things.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Brockner; daughters, Sommer Emerson and husband Kris, Drinda Pena and husband James, and Abigail Brockner; sons, Andrew Brockner, Tyler Brockner, Thomas Brockner and John Wesley Brockner; brothers, Homer Brockner and Philip Brockner; grandchildren, Hannah, Luke, Nic and Ella Emerson; numerous other relatives and friends.

I am so sorry to see this online.
I knew Mr. Brockner for a couple of years.
He logged some land for us.
Mr. Brockner was a generous gentleman. He always had others in mind over himself.
I am sorry for sending this, so many years after the accident.
I am sorry for your loss.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

Paul was a brother in Christ and one of the greatest men I have had the pleasure to know, someone I am proud to have called friend. His family is a testimony to his love and giving spirit. We will miss you, Paul.
