Raymond Posey Obituary
Raymond A. "Ray" Posey, age 82 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018. He was born October 1, 1935 in Freer, Texas to parents Sidney Posey, Sr. and Ola Mae O'Neill Posey who preceded him in death along with his wife, Kay Dormois Posey; and brother, Sidney Posey, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Roberta Banks Posey; son, Korby Posey; daughter, Christie Oldal and her husband Mike; grandchildren, Christopher Dodson, Scarlet Dodson, Korey Posey, Leah Posey, and Raelyn Oldal; great-grandchildren, Christian Dodson and Avery Dodson; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m., - 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 22, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 22, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas. Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday, January 22, 2018 at South Park Cemetery, 1310 N. Main St. Pearland, Texas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children Attn: Office of Development 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607.

Ray Posey was a great guy. I worked with him in 1971 at Retzloff Chemical and drank beer with him after work. Later on in 1987 I came back to Houston after a divorce, I was looking for work as a chemist. Those were hard times for me. Ray put a good word in for me at Baker Performance Chemical Co. and I was hired. That really gave me a new start. I really appreciated his help. Thank you Ray.
May God rest his soul.

I just read about Ray' passing, I'm sorry for your your lose. what a great guy. He was always upbeat and had a smile and never knew a stranger. It was a pleasure to be his barber and neighbor for many years. Kenny Bruner
