Ruth passed peacefully in her sleep on February 1, 2016, at the age of 90. She was born in Medford, OR on April 16, 1925, to Herman Preabt and Eva Weigle, Preabt. She was known affectionately by her family as "Dolly". Ruth was dubbed "Dolly" as a baby, by her then 2 year old brother, Linn, who kept calling her a dolly.
She had a long time battle with Alzheimer's, and joins a host of family and friends in Heaven. Ruth will be laid to rest with her husband, Veryl, at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR. She and Veryl had been married 52 years when he passed away in 1994.
Ruth was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her younger sister Eloise Marler, sons Roger and Gary, and daughter Sharon Rookus.
Ruth had 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
