Mrs.Cone, Steve, Stan and Shawn, I am so very sorry for your loss. I am so thankful that Scott (Buford) was such a big part of my high school memories. He was truly like a big brother to me. He spent a lot of time at our house providing many a laugh for mom, Shelia, myself and lots of LW friends. I know Scott will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with the Cone family. May God bless and comfort you.

I got to know Scott at The Western Co. He was special. I told him one time, "Scott, we got girls here too." He came to my office and asked me to recommend a florist, he needed to order flowers for his mother. I sent him to Flowerland in Dayton. He worked with my husband at Dow. He loved Sammy. My heart broke when they split up. I was grateful that he found Celida. I remember how excited he was when Madison was born. I admired the way he loved Brent and the way he fathered him. The memorial service was packed on Monday night. Bob Edwards talked about how fortunate that he was to be Scott's neighbor. Mrs. Edwards borrowed Scott's fancy lawn mower and ran it into the pond. He said, "Don't worry, It 'll be aw right." The Dow guys told some great stories. Butch and I cannot be with y'all today. Please celebrate a life well lived and know that we loved him. Stan, you are my hero! He told us that he counted on you for everything. YOU WERE ALWAYS THERE FOR HIM. Have no regrets. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It was my great privilege to know him.
Thank you for sharing him with us.

Dearest Ann and Cone men,
I wanted to let you know how sorry I am for your loss. I remember many years ago baby sitting all you "boys" and you guys giving me a hard time. I also remember the fun times having you as neighbors. I know it's hard saying goodby to one of the guys. Just know you will see him again one day and he is in God's hands now. Love to you all- Bonnie Jordan
