Serge Molohosky Obituary

Serge Philip Molohosky, 80, beloved husband, father, and grandpa, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020 in Conroe, Texas. He was born August 10, 1940 in Akron, Ohio.

Serge is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Lynn, his daughter, Susan Watthuber, her husband Mark, and their children Mason and Amanda, and his son, Steve Molohosky, and grandson, Christopher. Serge is preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Sandra.

Serge graduated from the University of Akron in 1962. Upon graduation he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force after completing Advanced ROTC. He attended pilot training at Vance Air Force Base. Following pilot training he flew B-47s at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. In 1966, he trained on the twin-engine C-7A Caribou airlifter after which he began a one-year Vietnam combat tour flying throughout Vietnam. Major Molohosky's unit's primary mission was to support US Special Forces camps with various cargo and personnel. He was awarded four air medals in 1967 for outstanding airmanship and courage during his missions in Southeast Asia. After this in-country tour he flew C-141 missions from Charleston AFB and Norton AFB to Vietnam and Europe.

After leaving the Air Force, he became a pilot for Continental Airlines, where he flew the 727, MD80 and DC10 aircrafts. He retired from Continental in 2000 after thirty years of service with the airline.

Serge will be laid to rest in a private service.
