Shirley Lee Rountree Conner, 80, went home to Heaven to be with our Lord on Saturday, October 8, 2016. She was born July 26, 1936 in Tomball, Texas, however, she spent the majority of her life in Humble, Texas.
Shirley was preceded in death by her mother and father, Margaret and Elmer Rountree, her eldest sister, Janet Rountree Smith and her baby sister, Sandra Rountree Rizzo.
Shirley is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 61 years, C.L. "Bill" Conner, daughters Lisa Kim Conner and Kelly Conner Gabrisch & husband Scott, grandchildren Carlee Gabrisch Kennedy & husband Tyler, Katie Gabrisch, Josh Hanzi, Nicole Hanzi Ghimbos & husband Christian, along with her two great-grandsons Ayden and Carter Ghimbos. Shirley is also survived by many special nieces and nephews, numerous other relatives, and an abundance of loyal friends.
Shirley's purpose in life was being a dedicated wife and mother. She considered her family her greatest accomplishment. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. Giving her all to God, her husband, and her children was her life's goal and she achieved it with astounding success.
Visitation for Mrs. Conner will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 5pm to 8pm at Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Wednesday, October 12, 2016 in Rosewood Humble Chapel, interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
