Thomas Bryant Arrendell, age 96 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015. He was born March 24, 1919 in Plum Grove, Texas to parents John Albert and Ollie Olivia Arrendell who preceded him in death along with his son, Thomas B. Arrendell, Jr.; grandson, William "Billy" Arrendell; brothers and sisters, Aline Lilley, Clyde B. Arrendell, Dora Wheat, Alma Smith, John A. Arrendell and William Arrendell.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Ida Mae Boyd Arrendell; children, Barbara Roberts and husband Mike, Clyde A. Arrendell and wife Norma, Brenda Carolyn Kelso and husband Jimmy, Randal B. Arrendell and wife Georgia, Kent O. Arrendell and wife Susie; brother, Cammid O. Arrendell and wife Marianne; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, seven great great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving family and friends.
He graduated from Cleveland High School in 1938 and went on to work for Natural Gas Pipeline. He served his country in the U. S. Navy during World War II and returned home to raise his family. He was a Southern Baptist and a member of New Hope Baptist Church actively serving in church work as a Music Director for many years. As a member of the Tarkington Prairie Masonic Lodge, he reached the 32nd degree and was active for 60 years.
Visitation was held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment was followed at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens, Cleveland, Texas.

My memories of Mr. Arrendell when I was growing up are always of a good and kind man. Prayers of strength and comfort for Ms. IdaMae, Clyde, Brenda, Randy, Kent and the rest of the family.
