William Robert Grant (Bob), passed away on June 6, 2016 at the age of 96 in Marble Falls, Texas. Bob, was a loving husband, son, grandfather and great grandfather. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing. Bob was born on October 30, 1919 in Galveston, Texas. Bob quickly became interested in flying as a teenager and after attending Sam Houston State University, he enlisted in the United States Air Corps (now the Air Force) and became an instructor. It was then that he married his college sweetheart, Pauline Whisenhant, and he began working for American Airlines after his time in the service. This eventually led to a position in Exxon Aviation, where he later became Aviation Manager. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Davis, daughter in law, Lois Ann Grant, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Per Bob's wishes, there will not be a service held in his honor. He will be joining his beloved Pauline at Rosewood Memorial Cemetery in Humble,Texas. The family requests per Bob's wishes that anyone reading this, perform an act of kindness in his memory in lieu of charity donations or flowers.
