A giant of a man in every way has left a void that will be impossible to fill. I loved singing with Dave during his few years in Cincinnati, and only wish we could do it again one more time.

How rewarding and enjoyable it was for me to have been Dave’s high school teacher for three years—he had a joie de vivre underscored with balance, something rare in a teenager. He loved learning, and his efforts and energy rarely flagged. He and I shared many conversations outside of class on a wide range of topics, serious and mundane, and I respected both his intellect and his enthusiasms. My prayers are with all those who loved him, in this time of unspeakable sorrow.

Sarah-

I have so many memories of Dave, from waiting on the two of you when you were dating at Myles' Pizza, to singing with him in operas at BGSU, to sitting in on his lessons with P. Bill and I were so sad to hear of his passing. We ran into Dave by chance on a trip to Disney several years ago and spent a lovely afternoon with him. We are blessed to have had that special day. You are in our thoughts and prayers now and in the coming days.

Peace to all of you,

Sending loving thoughts to Dave's wife and daughter, his family, and friends. He will be missed by all whom knew him. It was so wonderful when Tony, Alex, Chad, and Dwight arranged for him to come to BG a few years ago. I will remember him smiling.

We were extremely fortunate to know David....if only for a few short years. He was the embodiment of all that is good. He was a loving, kind, generous and talented person...one of God's best. We will never understand why this has happened. Our love and prayers are for his family to find amazing peace and comfort during this time of release. God is still good.

I had the priviledge to sing with Dave at BGSU and I will never forget his smile, his laughter, and his beautiful voice. He was always there to give you a hug and share his love of life. His positive attitude was infectious and I cannot remember a time when I did not see him smile. I will miss him a great deal and I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers go to the entire McCutcheon family and to all of his friends.

David is greatest example of a man living in Faith that I have been blessed to know. Though for too many years now I have only shared occasional emails with him, I have always felt blessed to hear from him and consider him my friend. My heart goes out to all that were close to him, especially his wife, daughter and Dad. May the Lord bring you peace in these times.

Dear Paul, I am so very sorry for your loss. My prayers and thoughts have been with you and your family. There are no words that will take away the pain that you are feeling, but for me it helped to know there were so many that cared. We have missed you in the band and hope that we can all help you in the coming days and weeks deal with the loss of your son. Please convey my condolences to David's other family members. My continued thoughts and prayers for your healing.

"Boo" and I are so sorry to hear about David's passing. We remember him as a fine young boy when he lived with his mother and sister in my parents' garage apartment in Waycross. We were in Orlando Sunday, and we noticed his obituary in the newspaper. May God comfort you and give you His peace knowing that David is safely in the arms of Jesus. I would like your address, Carole, so that I can write to you.
