Robert GREENBERG Obituary

Robert I Greenberg, 76, of Boynton Beach, FL , formerly of Meriden, CT, passed away August 6, 2018 peacefully at home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Fall River, MA on September 23, 1941 to the late Irving and Mabel Greenberg. Robert graduated from Cheshire High School in 1959 and Middlesex Community College in 1977 with a degree in Business Administration. Robert, or Bob to most, had a passion for trains and nicknamed himself "the official train nut". He spent many hours working on his "N" gauge train models and layout. He also enjoyed playing the drums and visiting his beloved Prudence Island. He was always willing to lend a hand to his neighbors and friends and was also known as the fix-it guy. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Eleanor (Rowland) Greenberg, his daughter and son-in-law Sheila and Kenneth Rudnicki of Meriden, his daughter Nancy Moran of Meriden and five grandchildren Jessica Moran, William Moran, Robert Moran, Kate Rudnicki, Abigail Rudnicki and many extended family members. Services will be private.

Bob was a true friend and great neighbor. He was devoted to his family. We met him in 1965 when we were first married and moved into our home in Meriden next door to Bob, Eleanor, Sheila and Nancy. We kept in touch over the years and usually managed to together at least once a year.
In any endeavor he took on he was a perfectionist. He was interested in so many things. His passion with trains is an example.

Bob had a kind heart and if you were his friend, it was for life. Our children and I consider it a pleasure to have known him.
