After a long battle with cancer, Betty Strube died on August 31. 2016, in Katy, TX at the age of 75. She leaves behind, her son, Jimmy Strube, her daughter in law, Kelly Strube and grandsons, Garrett and Sawyer.
Betty was born April 21, 1941 in Meridian, MS to father, B.K. Davis and mother, Mildred Davis. Both parents preceded her in death, as did her brother, Ronald "Buster" Davis. Betty is survived by her sister, Barbara Montes and brother in law, Lon Montes of Meridian, MS.
Betty was married to Kenneth Strube in the 1970's. They later divorced. Betty and her son, Jimmy resided in Deer Park, TX, where she became a dedicated and successful real estate agent. She brought a smile to all who knew her, through her sincerity.
In 2014, Houston Area Realtors presented Betty with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her many years of hard work and civic activities that made our community a better place.
Betty requested to have her body donated to research in hopes of finding a cure for ovarian cancer, and to be cremated. In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Cancer Society in her name.
Betty Strube leaves behind many, many friends whom she felt as close to as relatives in her 30 plus years in Deer Park, TX.
