Daniel Barrera Obituary
Daniel Barrera, 43, of Humble went to be with his Lord and Savior February 02, 2013. How majestic it must be in Heaven as he is drumming now for the Lord. He was born November 11, 1969 to Joe and Gloria Barrera.
Daniel is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Alex Ruiz and Chris Barrera and grandmother, Delfina Barrera. He is survived by his beloved grandmother,Leonor Ruiz, and beloved mother, Gloria Ruiz Barrera and father and hero, Joe Carlos Barrera Sr. Daniel is also survived by a family that he treasured, wife, Calletana " Tania" Barrera, sons, Kyle, Hector Noel, and Nicholas Ray Barrera. Also left to mourn are brother Joe Barrera Jr. and wife Ana, brother Michael Barrera and wife Chelsice and sister, Maria Cook and husband Clint. He is further survived by sister in law Gloria Rodriguez and Adolfo Zamora, and mother and father in law, Hector and Gloria Rodriguez and brother in laws Hector and wife Lynn Rodriguez, Jorge Rodriguez and wife Loraina, numerous nieces and nephews, friends and family, too many to name.
Daniel graduated from Pasadena High School in 1989 and has worked in the delivery business until his death. But Daniels true passion was his family. But next to that it was always about the Music. Daniel was an accomplished drummer, currently with his band Tejano Party appearing all over the community. Daniel's original band was DIVINO and was signed with Capital Records. He loved Tejano Music. Friends and family will remember his sense of humor also. He was a comedian at heart.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 07, 2013 at Rosewood Funeral Home 3939 Pasadena Blvd. in Pasadena from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Rosary will be recited at 7 PM. Funeral Services are 11:00 AM Friday, February 8th at St. Juan Diego Church at 3301 Pasadena Blvd. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, Tx.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked with Danny YEARS ago at Kroger. He was the nicest kid, always a smile on his face, laughing and joking around.

We just got the news tonight and we are in total disbelief. Our thoughts and prayers go to the Barrera family. We knew Daniel as a young boy and watch him grow up to be a great man.
