Donny Spinks Obituary
Donny Ray Spinks passed away on June 14, 2014 in Deer Park, Texas at the age of 53. He was born on April 7, 1961 in Victoria, Texas to Jerry and Jane Spinks. Donny was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was an avid hunter, and motorcyclist. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and a Retired Sargent of Arms of the Battleground Pistolas. Donny will be deeply missed.
Donny is survived by his parents, Jerry and Jane Spinks; daughter, Brittni Spinks and her fiancé Roy Combs; step-son, Brannon Donovan and his wife Jessica; granddaughter, Madison Spinks; step-grandchildren, Brannon Donovan, Jr., Delilah Donovan, Shawn Combs, and Marissa Combs; sister, Leah Ferguson and her husband Michael; niece, Charyse Allison; nephew, Caleb Ferguson; great-niece Cheyene Ellis; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Grand View Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 10:00 am in the chapel of Grand View Funeral Home.

I played little leage baseball with Donny so many years ago. He was the catcher on our team and a good ball player and a great guy. Those pictures in your album include one with my father, Bill Salley and our coach Mr. Wright. I'm so sorry to learn of Donny's passing. I will always have fond memories of him. My sincerest condolences to Donny's friends and family.

As little girls our fathers are our safety net, our security blanket and our biggest fans. It's hard to let go of your dad at any age, he's always been the one person you could be depend on to fix anything that was wrong in your life. Your dad will always be with you, and you will recognize the gestures you make that are learned from him. They will become precious to you as you get older and you will pass them on to your daughter with great pride. May the families surround you with love and comfort and know you are held in prayer everyday. With much sorrow at your loss.....

the words just won't come to express how i feel. i am flooded with sweet precious memories of the time we shared while we lived in pasadena. yall are what made it so special to me and a time i will always cherish. though years down the road, the love i have is still just as strong and my heart breaks at the loss of donny. i know he will leave a huge void in all the lives he touched. i am so sorry. i love you.....
