My deepest condolences to Debbie and Jeff. Jim Downs was a good man and father. He was always there for his family and friends if you needed his advice or help. I remember his love of music, dancing, acting and tennis. He enjoyed the Wall Street Journal and dabbling in the stock market. He enjoyed old cars, as I remember the '65 or '66 Mustang and the '61 Mercury Comet! God will welcome Jim to eternal life. He is finally home! He will be missed by many.

Jim, you were the last man on this planet whom I called "Dad" and I loved you very much! Your quick and sometimes naughty wit was such a hoot! Am praying for you and my Steve day and night to be with Jesus! Please ask him to have mercy on me! May your soul and all the souls of the faithful departed Rest In Peace! You are already missed Dad! My friend's dad, who was always funny, youthful, and sweet. After years of seeing him regularly at their home, he spoke to me one evening when we were waiting for Debbie in the living room, about different things that had happened in his life. Always kind. You will be missed by all of us.
