A funeral mass for Joseph Louis Hoffman, 82, of Chandler, is scheduled for Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Chandler with Father Octavio Suarez and Father Luke Kalarickal officiating. Burial will be in Chandler Memorial Cemetery under direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Hoffman died October 26, 2012 in Tyler. He was born June 11, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1953 as a Staff Sergeant. He was a retired mechanical engineer in the construction industry. He was a charter member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and a Eucharistic Minister. He was a charter member of the 4th degree of the Knights of Columbus and the founding member for Interfaith Housing in Pasadena. He was also a member of the Lone Star Tractor Club and Professional Engineers.
Survivors include wife, Mary Hoffman, children, Larry Hoffman and wife Jody, Virginia Hall and husband Gene, Debra Hensarling and husband Kevin, Patricia Denson and husband Mike, Susan Cox and husband Lonnie, grandchildren, Kevin Hoffman and wife Michelle, Jason Crawford, Thomas Hoffman, Christina Hall, Greg Hall and wife Lindsey, Eric Hall, Steven Denson, Cathy Denson, Charles Hensarling, James Hensarling, great-grandchildren, Paige Hoffman, Hayden Hall, Gabby Hoffman, Chase Hall, Lilly Hall, sister, Louise Sharum, sister-n-law, Mary Lou Hoffman, and many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jason Crawford, Eric Hall, Steve Denson, Charles Hensarling, James Hensarling, Kevin Hoffman, and Greg Hall, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Knights of Columbus.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Boniface Catholic Church building fund.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 31, 2012 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home with the Rosary service beginning at 7 PM.
