Nicholas Snow Obituary

Nicholas Joseph (Joe) Snow, Jr., devout Catholic, family man, and devoted friend died of complications from Covid on Saturday, January 23, 2021. He was 78. He passed away embraced by his wife and his three daughters shortly after receiving Last Rites in person, a rare blessing in this time of Covid.

He was born in Houston, Texas on July 13, 1942. He graduated from St. Thomas High School and he attended North Texas State University before joining the Naval Reserves. In 1964 he married the love of his life, Ginger Noonan. He worked with IBM at NASA to help send the first man to the moon. Daughters Tammy, Sandy and Tracy Jo soon followed. He was also an entrepreneur and inventor in the oil & gas industry. He also spent time in sales, I.T., and as a vintner. Patriarch, husband, father, father-in-law, Papaw, Grand Papaw, brother, uncle & great uncle. Many knew him as the "king of the hill," also as an avid wine maker, fisherman, excellent cook and the most present and loving papaw. He was also a Deputy Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife Ginger Snow, of Willis, TX; daughter Tammy Brewster (Danny), of Friendswood, TX; daughter Sandy Twyman (Jerel) of Bellaire, TX and daughter Tracy Snow Mills (Greg) of Kauai, HI. Grandchildren Cody Brewster (Carissa) Nicholas Twyman; Natalie Twyman; Conner Brewster; Jackson Twyman and Ryden Mills. Step Grandchildren Tyler Mills and Charlie Allan. Great Granddaughter Rebecca Brewster. Sisters Carolyn Burkett (Wayne) of Spring, TX; Cathy Waldner of Houston; as well as many, many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of life will be scheduled for a time when it is safe.

Donations can be made to Knights of Columbus of Willis/New Waverly, TX KC #5921. Also, donations for Covid relief would be a blessing.
