Robert F. Dunn

1927 - 2016

Robert Francis Dunn, 89, passed away Tuesday April 26 2016. He was born on March 27, 1927 in Detroit, MI and his family moved to Texas when he was 5. Bob graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown in 1945. Upon graduation he served in the U.S Army and was a proud member of the 796 MP BN and enjoyed their reunions in his later years. After leaving Sam Houston State with a B.S. in Chemistry in the spring of 1951, he married Marjorie Moore on August 25, 1951. Bob enjoyed a long career with Rohm and Haas. He could present a memorable chemistry demonstration to wide-eyed elementary school students. Bob and Marjorie were longtime members of the Friendship Class at First United Methodist Church in Pasadena, Texas. Robert is survived by his wife Marjorie, son Laurence (Larry), daughter Martha Baddour (Eric), son Charles, grandson Brian Dunn, granddaughter Laura Dunn along with nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday May 3, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Pasadena. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to First United Methodist Church, 1062 Fairmont Parkway, Pasadena, Texas 77504.
