Teresa Martinez Zepeda, 82 longtime resident of Pasadena, Tx., passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015.She was born to the late Jose and Crescencia Martinez in October of 1932.Teresa graduated from Milby High School in Houston, Tx. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Gabriel Zepeda and son Gonzalo Zepeda. Survived by children, daughters Rosaura Prusz and Teresa Zepeda, son Oscar Zepeda; 5 grandchildren-O.J., Nathan, Samantha, Christynn, and Taki, and 2 great grandchildren-Jordan, Nathan.
Teresa's hobbies included cooking delicious traditional Mexican dishes for her family; watching and telling everyone about her favorite novelas; painting landscapes; and singing her favorite songs by Vicente Fernandez with the karaoke machine.
Teresa was a devoted wife and mother. She was proud of all of her children's accomplishments. Her commitment to marriage, family, faith and unconditional love were all the gifts she gave us. Teresa will also be remembered for her strength and courage as she fought the long term effects of Diabetes and Aplastic Anemia (blood disorder). We know she is resting peacefully with our father and brother. We will miss her guidance and smile.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 8, 5 to 8 p.m. @ Forest Park Funeral Home-6900 Lawndale. Funeral service will be Monday, March 9 @ 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to the American Diabetes Association-diabetes.org/donate.
