Remembering Sandy with love always
Harry Lewis

Kind, compassionate, and loving. Brilliant, wise, clever, gifted, and beautiful. A dedicated teacher who loved her students. A devoted member of her church and community. A caring mother, step-mother, sister, and family member. And, until the end, my sweet.

I'll always remember Sandy and our college days. The good times we had together; the times we struggled but overcame obstacles. Rest in peace, dear friend. Rest in peace.

I will always remember Sandy's kindness at St. Luke's Church. She sang behind me in the alto section and would often drive me back home after rehearsal. She was a wonderful person and I will miss her.

Sandy sang first alto with me in the Pocono Concert Chorale. Her lovely voice and desire to participate never wavered even through the many treatments she received. She motivated me to keep trying when the music was really difficult for me. I will never forget her warm smile and kind eyes. I am sure she is singing now.

I met Sandy at a Carmelite retreat in 2007. From thereafter she was my retreat buddy. I have missed not seeing her the last few years as we were both battling cancer. We supported each other through cards and emails and prayers. I found her extraordinary.

Pleasant, thoughtful, positive & dedicated to what she endeavored and engaged herself. A Giving person and woman who shared her singing talents w/ many such groups including the Pocono Community Chorale (PCC) I was fortunate to be a member and enjoyed practicing / preparing for related seasonal concerts . Thank you for volunteering and sharing your lovely spirit in song & social events.
Sincerely & Respectfully, Mike

Sandy sang with my Pocono Concert Chorale since the group began in Fall 2016. She loved to sing, and was a wonderful person to be with. She will be greatly missed.

In addition to our love of Saint Luke's Church, I really enjoyed my time with Sandy on the Catholic Social Services board. Sandy was always dressed classy and had a great sense of humor. We missed our visits with she and Dan after Dan passed on. Hope you both are looking down on us right now. God Bless.

Each time I’d drive by, I’d think, “I really need to call Sandy.” I never knew just how bad her battle with cancer was until learning of her death. She was always so positive and had a great outlook on life. I’m sure Dan was there to greet her at the gates of heaven! Rest peacefully, Sandy.

THE LAST TIME I SAW SANDY WAS A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO IN TARGET. SHE STILL LOOKED GREAT. WE BOTH KNEW HER FUTURE, BUT SHE STILL LOOKED GREAT. YES SHE WAS A VERY KIND LADY WITH LOTS OF CLASS. WE MET IN THE CARMELITES. SHE REPLACED ME AS SECRETARY. RIP

Sandy was my Meals on Wheels partner and friend for many years. I very much enjoyed spending every other Tuesday with her and we had many pleasant conversations. She was someone I always felt I could talk to about anything and she always listened. She will be missed.
