Daniel Olson Obituary
Larsen - Daniel Glenn Olson, age 79, of Larsen died Thursday, August 5, 2021, at his home. He was born on April 24, 1942, in Neenah to the late Glenn and Elaine Olson and grew up on the family farm in Larsen and was a fourth-generation farmer. In 1960 Dan graduated from Winneconne High School. On October 31, 1964 he married Elayne Hilger and she preceded him in death in May of 2013.
Dan and Elayne loved to snowmobile with the Country Riders and up north with his friend and neighbor, Bob Haag. When he was younger, he enjoyed hunting and bowling. Dan loved animals, especially his dogs and the barn cats he helped name and raise each year. He was a big Packer fan even though he would bet against them with his granddaughter Mollie every season for a candy bar. Dan was proud of all of his grandchildren and loved to spend time with them whether it was setting off fireworks or going to the newest Star Wars movie. He was the world's best grandpa and took great pride in shopping for birthday and Christmas presents.
Dan is survived by three children, Scott (Lisa) Olson, of Larsen; Nancy Krog, (fiancé, Gary Williams), of Clintonville; Leon (Karla) Olson, of Larsen; four grandchildren, Tylar Krog, Mollie Olson, Sawyer and Sophie Olson, all of Larsen.
A private graveside service will be held at the Grace Lutheran Cemetery-Winchester where interment will take place. Mueller Funeral Home-Winneconne is assisting the family.
