Robert J. "Bob" Hope

GLEN FALLS - Robert J. (Bob) Hope, 72, of Glens Falls, N.Y., passed away at his residence on Friday, January 24, 2025, surrounded by those who love him. He was born in Albany, and was the son of the late William Hope and Shirley Christie. Robert resided in Watervliet and was raised by his loving grandparents Marion and James Christie. He attended St. Bridget School and Catholic Central High School. He later served his country in the US Navy.

He was employed and retired from SCA Paper in Glens Falls. After his retirement, he enjoyed his time working at Home Depot. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and his many pets.

He is survived by his longtime partner and caregiver, Rita Loucks; his daughter, Hidi Hope; and his son, John Hope and Dana Fish; his sister, Debra (Hope) Pelton; and his brother, Edmund Rowe. He was also survived by his loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Dufresne Funeral Home, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Inurnment will follow in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, N.Y.
