I just heard today...and was struck by a strong feeling of waste at the unexpected loss of such a caring person in such a horribly sad way. He was so young and had so much of life yet to live...May he rest in complete peace.

I worked with Ray for several years. He was a great guy with a big heart, always willing to help others out. He always spoke so proudly of his family. And in the animal world, he saved many by both his level of responsibility and ability to talk many of us into adopting his strays.
The world is a sadder place without him. He will be missed.

I met Ray three years ago when I adopted my black lab. This was the first time that I ever owned a dog and he was so patient and kind answering all of our questions. I have kept him updated by email of my dogs progress and he always responded. May he rest in peace. I'm sure he is an angel looking down on his family.
