Daniel (Danny) Edward Fix Jr., President of Dan Fix Landscape Construction Company, passed away unexpectedly November 14th, 2022, in Petaluma, CA. He was 33 years old. Danny was born August 15, 1989, in Santa Rosa, California to Dan and Susan Fix. He grew up in Petaluma and graduated from Petaluma High School in 2007.
He attended Santa Rosa Junior College 2007-2009 and later enrolled in the Police Academy in Santa Rosa where he graduated at the top of his class in 2016. Over the last 14 years, Danny was a dedicated employee of his father's landscape construction company in San Rafael. During his tenure with the company, Danny took on a wide array of roles and responsibilities, from laborer to foreman to project manager. As a result of his leadership, Danny took on ownership of the company and became President of DFLC in 2020 and served in that capacity until his passing. Danny was loved by many and well known for his kind and generous spirit. He enjoyed golfing with friends, spending time with his golden retriever, Gunner, and boating on the weekends. Danny was a talented wakeboarder from a very young age. From skateboarding to snowboarding and eventually wake-surfing, Danny excelled and was his happiest when he was on any kind of board with his friends and his dog by his side. His friendships spanned far and wide throughout the community and he cherished and celebrated friends and family alike. His warm smile and boisterous laugh will be deeply missed. Danny is survived by his parents, Dan and Susan Fix of Petaluma, California, sister Jessica Fix of Petaluma, and his niece Olivia. Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Danny's memory may be made to the "Friends of the Petaluma River".
