Thomas Scott Obituary

Thomas Lee Scott
January 8, 1956 - June 22, 2023
Orangevale, California - Thomas Lee Scott, beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully June 22. He was 67. Born and raised in Sacramento, Tom attended ECHS and ARC. He worked in food service most of his professional life, excelling in sales. Tom was a devoted father and faithful Christian. He was sincere and honest, treasured people, and was truly a friend to all. Tom loved travel, the Giants and Niners, and coaching young athletes. He was happiest at a SF game or a local ballpark. If Tom was your friend, he was your friend for life. This was evidenced by the stream of visitors he had until he died. Thank you dear friends and family for your love and care. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Patricia Civitello and Jack Scott. He is survived by his precious children, daughter, Carlie Camalo (Joie) and son John Scott. His children were truly the joy of his life. He is also survived by his siblings Carrie Donahue (Jim) and Mark Lobaugh (Mary), as well as nieces and nephews who will miss their funny, kind Uncle Tom.
Services for Tom will be held at The Life Center, (7801 Hazel Ave., Orangevale) on Saturday, Aug 5, at 3:00 PM. Reception following. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider donating to Lewy Body Assn. https://www.lbda.org/ in Tom's honor.

Tom was a childhood friend through Starr King, Eastern Little League, front yard football, El Camino HS. We called him "Moochie" as he was a bit smaller, like his nickname namesake "Moochie" from the Mickey Mouse Club. He was ungodly fast! Smaller never stopped him. And always a smile! Even after I moved away from Sac at 16, I had the chance for a couple of phone conversations here and there over the years...and he was still the gracious friend. I was blessed to get to see him at our last ECHS reunion. Funny, he was one of those who never aged and seeing him at the reunion placed me right back in a Little League uniform standing right next to him.

Carrie, you may not remember me, I'm Mike Hickey, Morpheus Lane. You too were a lovely sister to Tom. My heart is truly heavy at the loss of such a fine person. May I extend my sincere condolences to you, his children and entire family.

Miss you Moochie!
