Sarah and family,
From the time your dad walked through our door and we called him Hercules (G.V.joke), we knew he was special. We saw his kind heart, generosity and goodness through the young men he mentored on the job and later as a special friend. He was probably one of the toughest and strongest men out on the job,but we saw his true spirit.
Chris became my husband's closest friend over time. They fished and talked for hours. Whenever someone needed help he was the first person there. And for me, I loved him in many different ways.Like when he came down to visit he'd help cook since he knew I didn't like to - simple - but MUCH appreciated. That sums up the life your father lived by "doing" for others not just talk.He gave you a great gift and example to live by, Sarah. I know how much he loved his little girl.Chris was taken too soon, but left behind so much and he will always be in our hearts. Love Jamie and Steve and family

Elaine and Sarah, I am so very sorry for your loss of a father and a husband. I have always been ashamed of myself for not keeping in touch throughout all of the years past. Chris was and always will be my very best friend ever, even though we lost touch so very long ago. This news came to me today, on my birthday. Words can't express how saddened I am. But, I am happy to know that he took the time to say farwell to me today. He will forever be missed. God bless you and your daughter Elaine.

SARAH,
As we both know school together was a very interesting adventure, but out of it I got to meet you and your parents and critters, and grow a friendship that I never want to lose. You are by far one of the most amazing girls I have met in my entire life. I credit your awesomeness to your awesome mom and father. They did an extraordinary job bringing you up. I obviously didn't know you at a young age, but we have shared many stories about our lives together. You are very special to me and I will always consider you my family and a very dear friend. I love you all.

Elaine & Sarah,
We want you to know that we are always here for you. We know that Chris will be greatly missed by so many. I have many fond memories of him and in the last few weeks have heard many from you. The greatest thing Chris did was make you both strong women. He will always be proud of you both. Now he is sitting at the lake with Buddy fishing. Everytime I cast my pole I will think of Chris. I love you both.
