Stephanie TALOTTI Obituary

TALOTTI, Stephanie Suzanne Skierka

April 18, 1989 -
September 23, 2018

It is with the heaviest of hearts that the family of Stephanie Talotti announ-ces her unexpected passing at the too early age of 29. Stephanie was born April 18th, 1989 and raised in the Spokane Valley. She graduated from Central Valley High School in 2007 and attended Eastern Washington University. She was a beautiful spirit from the day she was born and had the ability to bring laughter and life to any gathering. Her warm and giving heart made her special to her family and a wide circle of friends. She will be remembered for her strong work ethic and generous soul. She showed compassion and understanding to those in need and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She spoke to others with honesty and integrity, never wanting to say words that would cause injury or damage.
She loved Mexico and last January married the "love of her life", Tony Talotti, in a beautiful sunset wedding in Mazatlan, Mexico. Her favorite hobby was golf, and it was amazing how far she could hit the ball! And oh, how she loved to laugh and tease. She was always up for an adventure with friends and family. She and Tony are owners/managers of the Red Lion Barbeque in downtown Spokane and provided many delicious meals to their customers both at the restaurant and catering to many social events.
Stephanie is survived by her beloved husband Tony; her parents Sue (Glenn) Owens and Jeff (Monica) Skierka; her brother Jeff (Roslyn Hyde) Skierka; sisters Tiffany Skierka White, Madeline Owens, Elsa Owens; step-brothers Justin Fabio and Josh Fabio; her father and mother-in-law George and JoAnn Talotti; brother-in-law Darin Talotti; grandparents Bill and Joyce Towles and grandmother Gwen Skierka; many aunts, uncles and cousins. She had a special love in her heart for her nieces Sienna White and Emma Talotti. She was preceded in death by her grandfather J.B. Skierka. Stephanie was the "best" wife, sister, daughter and aunt that everyone should be so lucky to have. To say she will be missed is an understatement, as there is a hole in our hearts that cannot be filled. A celebration of her life will be held at the Shriner Event Center, Friday, October 5th at 1 P.M., 7217 W. Westbow Blvd., Spokane WA 99224. In her memory, donations can be made to the Gleason Initiative Foundation, Rypien Foundation, the Shriners or the charity of your choice. Hennessey Valley Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

A wave of sadness came over me when I saw Stephanie had passed. Many memories can back to me from what seems like a long time ago. I knew her and her family when she was very young. Reading about what an incredible girl she became was no surprise. Sounds like she was as beautiful inside as out. My heart is heavy for her whole family. To those that I know and to those that I don't my deepest sympathy.

Although I did not know Stephanie I am deeply touched by her spirit expressesd here. Gone too young but never forgotten by those who love her, including God. God has a book of remembrance wherein he writes the names of all those he loves, he never forgets.

Good-byes hurt the most when the story was not finished. Good-byes make you think, they make you realize what you've had and what you've lost. The most painful goodbyes are the ones that are never said and never explained. Stephanie was an amazing woman and I feel privileged to have known her. Sending healing prayers and wishing moments of peace and comfort.

I didn't know Stephanie, but my mother and her friends back in the day loved the Red Lion Restaurant Downtown. As a child I recall her bringing us home from going out on the town there peanuts. I had my dearest friend recently passed just under 2 months . I will never be the same and my heart goes out to you all and I will be praying for the Lord , Prince of Peace to hold you alll close to his heart and to lift you up through his strength and glory in this time of great sorrow and sadness. God be with you all . I prayed for peace and God answered my prayers .
