I knew Michael when he was in high school & we were next door neighbors. I also worked with mikes mother @ the cable company, so we spent a lot of time together just hanging out. Mike had a great sense of humor& will be missed by all who knew him. A great friend. Sarah Styers

My thoughts and prayers are with Mike's family and the NC film family. I always remember Mike coming into the art department and joking with me about ACC basketball but still having the class to give me a poster when Dean Smith retired.
Mike was similarly admired and respected. He made lasting contributions to crews and the community. He will be missed.

Rest Easy Mike. We were Jr. High School friends having operated the school store for Ms. Whitfield back then. Our paths crossed recently and we laughed about those "old days". He was a leader back then as I understand he was in his career. May God give peace to his family. May your memories hold you until you meet again soon. Peace & Blessings!

I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.
Mike was a good man and touched many lives. I am so very sorry for his sudden loss.

Mike was a great man. He supported a lot of families by doing everything he could to keep as many people working as possible. He had a big heart and he treated me very well. It will be very sad not to have his presence at the studio. He was a great boss and a lot of fun outside of work. Thanks Mike.

Mike was a true professional who will be missed throughout the motion picture industry - not simply for his amazing contributions through his craft, but also for the laughter and jokes he shared with his coworkers throughout the years. Mike was one of the most hardworking and talented people I had the pleasure of meeting through the film industry. He certainly will leave a space that no one will ever be able to fill. I consider myself very lucky to have worked with him and can't imagine trying to complete another show without seeing his smile everyday, no matter how hard things get. He will be missed by all. Mike was my friend and neighbor for many years. Jodie is my friend from HS. Amber was my part time babysitter when my kids were little. And Michael, was the little boy across the street that "put up with" my little ones when they wanted to "play" with him. LOL....And Bless his heart....Mike put up with my "infatuation" with Dawsons Creek....when I was a grown woman!!!! (Even got me a signed pic that i still treasure to this day) Even though ALL of our kids have grown up and away and we are no longer neighbors....I LOVE this family!!! May you RIP Mike and we will see you again!!! May GOD bless you Jodie, Amber and Michael!!!

when I would travel I took a Mycall t-shirt with me. I took photos in Japan, Hawaii ,Macchu Piccu in Peru and a few other places of me wearing his shirt. Mike got a kick out of thinking his t-shirt had made it around the world. That was my way of bringing Mike along with me. He will be forever with me.

When you run into my Cowboy Don E at the big feast tell him to have all the desserts he wants because yall deserve it for your love you left here. I remember Mike exactly as you recalled his early days working for Jim Brinson and Jeff Schlatter...He was a complete delight and wonderful addition to an incredibly exciting time in Wilmington for all who happened to be blessed by the times we had.. and Mike was so instrumental in the progress and success of the film industry from the ground up.I remember him so proudly telling me of how his son was now working in the industry and how this business had so greatly changed his life..he was so emotional when telling me how he truly counted his blessings for the chance he was given that day so long ago.... So many wonderful memories run through my mind as I think back..Michael Thank You for passing by and being that wonderful guy to us all..What a pleasure it has been to have known you and what a Blessing you were to us all..God Speed old friend...
