Lady Doris Fraser Guidi, EdD
Lady Doris Fraser Guidi, 86, of St. Augustine, passed away on May 27, 2021 at Flagler Hospital. Doris was an extraordinary individual. She received her PhD in medical ethics from Fairleigh Dickinson University and began her career as a student advisor at Long Island University's largest campus. She advanced from student advisor to Provost of the CW Post campus. She also became a full Professor and taught advanced classes to pre-med students in addition to running the main campus of the University. She was also a consultant to several organizations including the Nassau County Department of Health, The Ryan White Foundation and many others. She had a great interest in the virus that caused AIDS and gave lectures to nurses and others to familiarize them with the disease. After retiring from her post at Long Island University, she decided to move to St Augustine where she was anxious to continue her work in education. She served on the Board of Directors of the Marine Science School of the University of Florida, became a Trustee at Flagler College and served on the Ethics Committee of Flagler Hospital. It was shortly after she began working at Flagler College that she experienced a massive stroke. Her stroke limited the lives of both Doris and her husband, Bill, for years. Doris was a very classy person and was very much admired by those fortunate enough to know her. We shall all cherish these memories forever. She is survived by her husband, William Guidi, her son Eric Jordan and wife Nancy and her daughter Cynthia Fraser and husband Jim Scoville. She is also survived
by her grandchildren Conrad (Kathleen) Scoville, Ian Scoville, Georgina Scoville, Ryan Guidi, Jason Guidi and Evan Guidi. She is also survived by her sister, June Kingan.

The family will welcome friends and relatives to a visitation on Friday, June 18 from 5:30-6:30pm at St. Johns Funeral Home, 385 St. Road 207, St. Augustine, Florida.
