To the family of Steve...Our deepest sympathy...I worked as an actor for Steve in the Mario/Mary and Nathan/Nina weddings...I was the mother of the bride and did many gigs with him...He always wanted people to laugh and just loved to see their faces ...He loved my acting as he would tell my six children what a good actor i was...I enjoyed doing those shows so much ... he wanted me to go to Vegas and do some acting as well...I had children to "watch over"...we were in touch all the time...Jan and i both are artists, Yoga instructors and did a lot of creativity...I said to her one day...You must be a Libran...and she said how do you know...and i said...because I am and we love what we do...Steve, I will miss writing to you about all the stuff that goes on in Woosta., even though i was in Shrewsbury....He will be veryyyyyyyyy missed and i am sure he would want us to keep smiling as that is what he did for a living...We have to remember him with lots of smiles as he smiling down on us...Peace and Love, Lee Marie Perrone Christoher and children...

Steve, rest in peace my friend, I will see you on the other side, and then you can explain to me how you pulled that dove from my ear back at North High School in 1970.

Fran, I'm very sorry to hear this.
I was Steve's neighbor throughout our Childhood. I remember that he always had " something up his sleeve ". I remember the magic shows he put on for the neighborhood kids when he was only a kid. None of us were surprised that he ended up doing this for his career.
Again Sorry

When I was playing Bozo the Clown on New England TV in the early 70s, this skinny 18-year old kid came to audition for a spot on the show. He wowed me and everybody else, and he became a regular on "Bozo's Big Top". Steve and I remained friends to this day, always catching up with each other when he came back east, or my family catching his show at Caesar's. I loved the man...talented, generous with his time, genuinely funny and gregarious...a great friend. I hope the world gets to see his magic talent for a long time to come on the web and in videos. I'm sure many magicians out there owe their start to him. Love and condolences to Jan, Jesse, and the extended family. And as Bozo always says..."just keep laughin'!"

Having bought many magic tricks from Stephen's store back in the 70's, My Dad and I had seen and witnessed his greatness as a professional magician and were not surprised to learn of his stardom in Las Vegas. The thing that made the world so small was the fact that Stephen used to actually babysit my wife and her sibblings in their preteen years and try out his magic on them! Little did they know that they were one of his first practice audiences that would eventually grow to thousands.
Our condolences to all of Stephens family and friends. A great Magician and person has passed on.

We met Steve when he warmed up audiences for The Barbara Mandrell Show taped at Gower Studios in Hollywood. Every major artist sought Steve out so they could learn 'one great trick' to have with them forever. Steve's generosity and warmth showed in every part of his life. He 'hosted' a spectacular birthday party for our then 11 year old son at the Magic Castle where David Hasselhoff was one of the amazed and delighted 'kids'. Al directed his Magic Video series where he introduced people to the thrills of magic. We spoke to him often and always heard the joy in his voice and he always expressed his love for Jan and his son. We send our love to Jan and Steve's family. Now the angels are enjoying his magical, magical ways.

I've known Steve for many years. I had hired him for my grandson's Birthday party, who was only 3, at the time, and I will never forget how scared my grandson was, yet in a matter of minutes he had won him over. I knew he was moving to Vegas, yet thought I would see him again. My sympathies to his family! He was a Class ACT.D Dwyer

My husband, Peter Anthony, always loved when Steve would stop by and chat. They were both close up magicians and loved to "talk story." Peter and I are both shocked, dismayed, and saddened by Steve's passing. He was a good and kind person, and an amazing magician. My deepest condolences to his family.
