Paul Flickner Obituary
He loved computers. He taught computer classes and eventually formed his business, Pinnacle Computers. He ended up at General Physics and worked as a contractor for Pfizer until he retired. His retirement job was working at Staples in New London, where he could continue to work with computers.
Paul married Linda (Drake) Flickner in September 1981. They were happily married for almost 44 years and had four wonderful children: Amanda, Benjamin, Alisa and Brianna. They also have four beautiful grandchildren: Gisela, Ashton, Michael and Tove. He was predeceased by his son, Ben.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Groton Heights Baptist Church where Paul was a member for many years.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at Groton Heights Baptist Church, 72 Broad Street, Groton. The service will also be streamed online at http://www.youtube.com/@grotonheightsbaptistchurch5390.
In keeping with Paul's slightly rebellious personality, please dress casually for this service. Paul loved jeans, T-shirts, tie-dye shirts, concert shirts, shirts with silly sayings and football jerseys. He'd want us to be comfortable. Come celebrate his life with us.

To the Flickner family, my heart felt condolences for your loss. I first met Paul at Groton GoodWill in the book section. He was searching for books to sell on Amazon. I was intrigued by the use of his electronics to check the value of the book on-line. He was very passionate about his new found hobby and only to happy to share his knowledge. I will miss his happy demeanor and jovial personality. Rest in peace Paul.

Many condolences to the family. I spent many happy hours with Paul when we both worked at General Physics. He had a wonderful take on life and great sense of humor. We both shared a love for his hot sauces.

Paul was a great friend, fellow worker, and mentor. His skill at managing his workers, and foosball was enjoyable to watch and be a part of. Very sad to see him pass so young. My heart goes out to Linda and the kids.
