Frank Green Obituary

Frank Green, 80, formerly of Roslyn Heights, NY and recently of Indian Wells, CA passed away peacefully on December 21, 2007. Frank was born on July 26, 1927 in Lewisburg, TN and grew up in San Antonio, Texas where he later attended Trinity University and then served in the Marine Corp. Frank was a fine operatic tenor, trained by Oscar Seagle, with many operas to his credit. He was featured in many Broadway shows, including: "Kiss Me Kate", "Wish You Were Here", "Saratoga" and "Bells Are Ringing." Most notably, Frank performed a feature role and was also the standby for the leading role of Tony in the original Broadway production of "West Side Story", which he had the opportunity to play many times. In addition to his vocal capabilities, his artistic talents extended to the fine arts. Frank was a painter, sculptor, cartoonist and product designer. Many of his designs may be seen in hotels and casinos across the country and he leaves behind a vast collection of his artwork. He is survived by his wife Margot; his twin daughters, Pamela and Jeremy; and his brother, Henry Moss Green. He will be missed by his friends and family, who will remember him as a sweet man with a warm heart and a keen sense of humor.

Dear Margo, Pamela, & Jeremy,

I'm just now checking my emails today, 010108. Thankyou for emailing me,and I'll share this with all our Texas family. In a guest bedroom, I have a wonderful picture of the 4 of you standing around Granny. It was taken at our home on Granny's 90th birthday. How blessed we felt to have all of us together. We love all of you, and wish we could have seen each other more. We will miss Uncle Frank, his wonderful smile, his great attitude about life, and what a handsome, charming man. How blessed we all have been to have him in our life. Call us when you have time, because family is everytthing! Love, Patti, John, Jason, Vanessa, & Ashley
