Barbara Winans Obituary
WINANS, 95
VALDESE, NC - Mrs. Barbara Zenzer Winans, 95, of Morganton, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2011 at her residence, following a period of declining health.
Barbara was born on August 13, 1916 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Frank and Katerina Schnieder Zenzer. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Morganton. She was a fantastic seamstress and she loved to crochet .
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Ben Winans, an infant son Henry Rosenthal, four brothers, and three sisters.
Survivors include her son Frank Rosenthal and wife Cathy of Morganton, one step-son John Winans and wife Brenda of Lake Mary, Fl. Also surviving are five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on a later date.
Memorial contributions can be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 1721 Enon Rd. Valdes, NC 28690. An online guestbook and obituary is available at www.heritagefuneralservices.com
