Bruce Bell Obituary

BRUCE R.
BELL

LAKELAND - Bruce R. Bell passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was 73.
He was born September 9, 1947 in Portsmouth, VA. His family moved to Lakeland while he was in elementary school. He was a graduate of Lakeland Senior High School, the University of Florida, and the Culinary Institute of America.
He retired from Walt Disney World after more than 20 years in kitchens across hotels. He enjoyed reading thrillers, watching his beloved Gators play any sport, and walking his treasured dog, Kinley, around the neighborhood.
He was preceded in death by his parents Enoch H. and Minnie Cain Bell. He is survived by his sister Sue (John); his children Laurin, Casey, and Rhiannon (Robert); and several nieces and nephews.
He was more loved than he could imagine, and will be remembered as a giving soul who never wanted or expected anything in return. He will be missed beyond measure.

Bruce was a great guy, brilliant person and a terrific friend in my childhood and later at the University of Florida. I will miss his laugh, his company and our time together.

I remember Bruce from high school. We were in the same Lakeland High School class that graduated in 1965. He was a quiet sort...really nice guy! May he Rest In Peace!
