ROSE DOWD Obituary
DOWD, 84
LAKELAND - Mrs. Rose Ann Dowd a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 11, 2017.
Rose was born on February 11, 1933 to Edward and Winifred McCullough in Jamestown, NY. She moved to Lakeland in 1972 from Falconer, NY. Rose attended weekly mass at St. Anthony's Catholic Church where she was a longtime volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul. She loved family gatherings, baking, talking about local events, politics and baseball. Rose's loving heart and kindness will be missed by all.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harold L. Dowd, brother, Patrick McCullough and sister, Mary Hurley. Rose is survived by her daughters, Catherine (Tony) Huntsman, Patricia Wright and Elizabeth Igoe; sons, John (Bobbie) Dowd and David (Mona) Dowd; sister, Winifred Siriano and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Thomas.
A visitation will be held from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, 3350 Mall Hill Drive, Lakeland. A funeral Mass will be held at a later date.
